The Fund for Excellence in the Teaching of Psychology

The Fund for Excellence in the Teaching of Psychology provides financial support for the teaching awards program administered by the Society for the Teaching of Psychology. At the annual APA convention, the Society honors exemplary teachers by giving the following Excellence in Teaching Awards:

  • Robert S. Daniel Teaching Excellence Award (4 Year College or University)
  • Wayne Weiten Teaching Excellence Award (2 Year College Award)
  • Mary Margaret Moffett Memorial Teaching Excellence Award (High School)
  • Early Career Teaching Award (1st five years of full-time teaching at any level)
  • Wilbert J. McKeachie Teaching Excellence Award (Graduate Students)

The Fund's assets are derived entirely from donations from generous individuals and organizations that seek to promote and recognize excellence in the teaching of psychology. Contributions are encouraged and may be sent to:
